126. On West end a shield of Arms a cross formee fitchee between eight estoiles. Crest, a cocks head between 2 wings expanded, holding in the beak a cross formee fitchee.
Supporters, on right a lion on left ---? Here lies the Body of John KADWELL Esquire 5th son of Thomas Kadwell late of this parish Esquire. He died the 15th day of August 1736 aged 64.
He was for several years in the Commission of the Peace for the Counties of Kent and Middlesex and for the City and Liberty of Westminster.
He married Elizabeth daughter of Mr. John GIBBON of London, Merchant by whom he had Issue 6 daughters where of 3 are now living viz: Elizabeth, Anne and Sarah.
127. In West end a lozenge shaped shield bearing Kadwell impaling Gibbon. Here lyeth the Body of Mrs. Elizabeth KADWELL widow of John Kadwell Esquire who lies near this place.
She died May ye 3rd 1740 aged 59.

THOMAS KADWELL Born 1642 and christened 6th January, 1642, St. Marys Church, Rolvenden, Kent, son of George Kadwell and Eleanor Kadwell [nee Tollhurst].
Thomas, who became the High Sheriffe of the County of Kent, a man of importance, married twice. His first marriage was to Eleanor Gibbon.
Thomas Kadwell married Eleanor Gibbon, 3rd July 1662 at Rolvenden, Kent.
Eleanor Gibbon was born in the year of 1639 in Benenden, Kent [daughter of George Gibbon and Margaret Stratton Gibbon].
Thomas and Eleanor Kadwell were the parents of seven children, six sons and one daughter. Thomas and Eleanors sons and daughter were all born and christened at Rolvenden, Kent.
1. George born 17th January 1663, christened 28th January 1663.
2. Jabez born 19th June 1665, christened 29th June 1665.
3. Ellenor born 22nd May 1666, christened 11th June 1666.
4. FELIX born 10th July 1667, christened 10th July 1668.
5. Thomas born.26th December 1669, christened 26th December 1670.
6. John born 1672 and christened 14th August 1672. [John died 1736].
7. George born 17th January 1676 and christened 9th October 1677.
[George died 1700].
Eleanor Kadwell, senior, died on 1st January, 1678, aged 39, and Thomas Kadwell married for the second time the following year in 1679.
Thomas Kadwell married Sarah Evernden, 24th April 1679 at Rolvenden, Kent.
Sarah Evernden was christened 26th February 1650 at Lyminge, Kent, daughter of George Evernden and Margery Impett.
Thomas and Sarah Kadwell became the parents of a son Thomas Kadwell born Rolvenden, Kent, who was christened on 26th December, 1679, and died in 1761. Thomas Kadwell died on the 10th February, 1680 only a year after his second marriage to Sarah.
