Gravestone - Rolvenden

124. On South side an inscription now nearly all perished save a letter here and there. On top has been cut:- Here lies buried the Body of Felix KADWELL Esquire who died
Anno Domini 1715 (?). Their tombs were repaired 1820 by Ellen wife of William JEMMETT Esquire great granddaughter of the above Felix Kadwell Esquire.

Felix Kadwell was born 10th July 1667 and christened 10th July 1668, at Rolvenden, Kent, England.
Felix Kadwell married Abigail Nicholls, 28th November, 1684, Rolvenden, Kent, England.
Abigail Nicholls was born and christened in Rolvenden, 1665, daughter of Benjamin and Mrs. Benjamin Nicholls.

Felix and Abigail Kadwell were the parents of ten children, eight girls and two boys both christened John.
The first boy named John must have died before 1693 when another son was born and named John. All the children
were born and christened at Rolvenden, Kent, England.

1. John christened 13th June 1687. [Died before 1693].
2. Ellenor christened 5th June 1688. Ellenor died 4th October 1688.
3. Elizabeth christened 12th August 1689.
4. Lucy christened 26th February 1690. Lucy died 1691.
5. Ellenor christened 15th May 1692. Ellenor died 15th July 1692.
6. John christened 30th July 1693
7. Elizabeth christened 17th October 1695.
8. Abigail christened 18th July 1697. Abigail died 1705.
9. Mary christened 12th February 1698.
10. Jane christened 28th November 1700. Jane died 1707.

Abigail Kadwell died 13th January 1731 and her husband, Felix Kadwell died 22 November 1748.
