To Woodchurch and Halden ... Whereas complaint has been made upon us ... Justices of the Peace ... by Woodchurch that James Tyler and Jane his wife did lately come to inhabit in Woodchurch not having gained a legal settlement there and nor produced any certificate owning them to be settled elsewhere and they are likely to be become chargeable to Woodchurch. We the Justices upon Proof made thereof as well upon the Examination of James Tyler upon oath and upon due consideration of the premises, we do adjudge the same to be true and do also adjudge that the lawful settlement of them is Halden. We require Woodchurch to remove and convey James Tyler and his wife to Halden and them to deliver to the Churchwardens, together with this Order. Halden to receive and provide for them according to Law

Whereas it doth appear unto us the Justices within named, that the within Elizabeth one of the Paupers within order to be removed is unable to travel by reason of Sickness and Infirmity. We therefore, by Virtue of the Power given us by the Statute, do hereby suspend the Execution of the Order of Removal until it shall be made appear to our Satisfaction that it may be safely executed without danger to the said Elizabeth

Whereas it is now made appear unto us, the Justices aforesaid, and we are fully satisfied, that the within Order of Removal may be safely executed without danger, we do thereby hereby order the same to be forthwith put in Execution accordingly ... the charges incurred by the Suspension amount to the sum of ten shillings. We do therefore order Halden to which the pauper above mentioned ordered to be removed to pay the sum of ten shillings on demand to Mr. Morris Walter one of the Overseers of the Poor of Woodchurch Order of Removal Delivered a copy of this Order to Rich. Hukins Overseer of Halden 15th December 1828
