Notes

The marraige of Stephen Wratten & Mary Springate is the nearest marraige I can find for our proud parents from Rolvenden & Tenterden. Stephen snr's will of 1759 mentions his sons Stephen, Thomas & George which fits in very well with our Stephens childrens names. also the fact that Stephen & Mary of Hurstmonceaux only had 2 children, before our couple started having children in Rolverden, so no overlap.
The only problem is that Stephen Snr's will mentions a Mary Wratten granddaughter, which is before our Mary was born. so unless this mary died before 1763 (which of course is possible. Edit: a Mary Wratten died july 12th 1835 aged 85, in Hurstmonceaux, which could be her, if unmarried, or this one is a wratten by marraige, and therefore not.) the two familes are not the same.
