Theory - Edward Davies (aka Charles Edward Walker) died in 1928 age 64 (see below), which makes his birth date as 1864. Also the census of 1911 also makes his birth date as 1864. In 1891 & 1901 his census information makes his age older, but I believe he lied in the earlier census's, to make himself appear older, and more likley as the "father" of the older children present. Once they had left home, he then reverted to his correct age. The only Edward Davies, born 1864, from Builth, Breconshire, is the one above. There he is a private soldier in the 53rd Regiment of Foot. Presumably he left the regiment in Liverpool, and made his way to the peak district, gaining lodgings with Elizabeth Walker (who had parted from Robert Walker, a year or two earlier) before 1891. The family moved from Chelmorton to Buxton before 1895, and I believe he changed his name to Walker to match Elizabeth and the children. They set up home at Radcliffe Cottages, and 3 Heaton Place, having more children, including Charles Walker (in 1896).
