Theory
James Russell was born about 1898, as calculated from his burial stone. He was named as a witness in Joseph Russell Jnr's marraige. He was also named in Joseph Russell snr's will. So we can say with certainty that he was Joseph Russell's son.
In 1833, He had an illegitimate daughter with Elizabeth Morris Tyler (the daughter was buried with him in 1838, thereby proving paternity). A Thomas Russell Morris was also baptised, a week after his daughter, to a Betsey Morris. I believe this was a twin son,
and betsey and elizabeth are the same woman. Both children died in 1838, 2 years after james's death.
